Negombo, 2005 |
A practical and concise guide to discover and explore about 70 fascinating sites.
Each site, fully described on a double page, has its name written in English, Sinhala and Tamil to help when asking for directions. There is also a drawing of it for easy identification, a brief description, directions to reach it, a GPS position for a precise location and a map to help you to get there.
Impossible not to find it!
A very practical and Essential guide indeed.
From Colombo, the guide proposes three itineraries to reach Anuradhapura. On each of them two stops and visits are suggested. It includes the impressive steeply stairs of Yapahuwa and the serene foot paths of the forest monastery of Arankale.
More than fourty sites are listed for Anuradhapura itself and then, there is a large section dedicated to the nearby Mihintale with 21 sites.
There is also a special section covering Tantirimalai. |
